Stock Exchange

Stock Exchange A marketplace where shares change hands for a consideration. It is usually a building or part of a building, where members of the exchange, acting as brokers or dealing on their own, buy and sell shares, sometimes as BULLS and sometimes BEARS. See INDIAN STOCK EXCHANGE. The important stock exchanges of the world are London , New York , Frankfurt , Paris , Tokyo , Hong Kong and Singapore .
